The Paraparaumu Petanque Club Anniversary Dinner.

Tempting Desserts
The Petanque Club were celebrating their anniversary and wanted a buffet style dinner for 115 guests.  We gave them a few different ideas one based around the idea of Petanque being a sport from the south of France the food matching.

Mixed olives, breads, oil and balsamic vinegar for the table.


Sesame and herb crusted whole roast salmon fillets served with hollandaise sauce.

Garlic and coriander tiger prawns served with rouille.

Traditional style confit duck, pork, haricot bean, and sausage cassoulet.

Rustic Provencal vegetables with tomatoes and chevre.

Warm balsamic beetroot roasted with rosemary and garlic.

Dauphinoise potatoes.


Chocolate and hazelnut tart with chantilly cream.

Mousse au citron. 

A selection of french cheeses served with bread, homemade chutney and crackers.



Eileen's 90th birthday party

Fabulous Puddings
Eileen needed to feed 37 guests for her mother's landmark birthday lunch from toddlers up to the guest of honour herself.  This is what we put on the buffet.
Breads with oil and balsamic for the tables.


Plum and mustard glazed champagne ham.

Hot baked potatoes with chilli con carne, sourcream and cheese.

Chicken and bacon salad with parmesan, croƻtons and caesar dressing.

Salad of toasted almonds, feta, tomato and cucumber.

Mixed leaf salad with balsamic dressing.


Strawberry and marscapone trifle.

Cheeseboard of kikorangi, totare, gruyere and camembert with breads,  crackers,  chutney and quince pate.

Anne's birthday party

Anne invited 130 of her family and friends to celebrate her birthday, ages ranged from 8 to 80. She wanted a good supper for everyone before the dancing started!
